Symptoms

The Pre-Upgrade Health Check (PUHC) detects if the Ring Buffer Archive (RBA) tier is configured. If a configured RBA tier is detected, the error is displayed:
RBA tier is currently configured. Contact your service provider. (off_release_rba_configuration_failed)

Cause

RBA tracing provides in-depth performance data. If this alert is present on the system, it means that the RBA tiers were activated in the past in order to capture this performance data. The RBA tiers should be removed once the data capture is completed. If this is not done, the PUHC identifies it until it is fully disabled.

Resolution

Contact Dell Technical Support to remove the RBA tiers. Reference this KB Article for expedited handling.
