These installations do not require the advanced functionality provided by WMS Pro managing their fleet of thin clients. These customers have remained mostly anonymous, and Dell has been unable to communicate critical information to these customers.
The process of installing WMS Standard is changing to address this issue. From WMS 4.2 onwards, new installations and upgrades require customers to register and obtain a free and renewable license. The WMS Standard license is valid for one year with annual renewal. This change ensures that the customer contact information is always up to date.
Customers select the Standard WMS installer option while installing Wyse Management Suite on-premises. During the setup, they are prompted to enter the standard license key.

To generate the license key, they can go to the Wyse Management Suite page and select Start Free WMS Standard.

Customers then enter their contact details, email address, and on-premises identifier to generate the license key. The license key is then emailed to the provided email address.

Customers can input this license key in the installer screen shown in Figure 1 and continue the WMS Standard installation process.
