Latitude xx40, Latitude 5330, and Latitude 5350 Laptops May Ship with the UEFI CA Disabled

Symptoms

The UEFI CA BIOS setting is disabled on certain Latitude laptops.

Dell is shipping all Gen 14 Latitude laptops (7x40, 5x40, 3x40) and as of December 2023 also the Latitude 5330 (as an exception) with the setting disabled, when it is a vPro enabled configuration. The latitude 5350 is also affected.

Cause

Microsoft shipping requirement for Secured Core PC Level 3 (SCPC).

All Intel vPro enabled platforms must have the UEFI CA setting disabled, see LKB (BIOS and Operating System Requirements to Met Support Secured-core Personal Computing) for more information about other settings.
