Symptoms
RecoverPoint for Virtual Machines does not support replication of encrypted VMs. By extension this includes VMs using Virtual Trusted Platform Module (vTPM).
Per the RecoverPoint for Virtual Machines Release Notes, replication of VMs on encrypted vSAN datastores is supported.
RecoverPoint for Virtual Machines Release Notes:
"RecoverPoint for Virtual Machines does not support replication of encrypted VMs but does support replication of VMs residing on encrypted vSAN datastores."
Cause
Replication of encrypted VMs is not supported.
Resolution
Dell engineering is investigating this issue. A permanent fix is still in progress. Contact the Dell Customer Support Center or your service representative for assistance and reference this solution ID.
