NetWorker 19.10 Web UI (NWUI) service fails to start when installed on a stand alone Linux server

Symptoms

  • lgtonwui-19.10.0.0_x86_64 is installed on a Linux host which is not the NetWorker server.
  • NWUI is not accessible from a web browser.
  • The nwui service starts but then immediately terminates.
  • The /opt/nwui/logs/nwui.raw contains:

Cause

This issue was raised to NetWorker engineering.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in NetWorker 19.12.0.0 and later.

Workaround:

Install the lgtonwuiserv-19.10.0.1-1.x86_64 package on the NetWorker server and configure the NetWorker server as the NWUI server. Both the lgtonwuiserv and lgtonwui installation files are in the full NetWorker package download available on the Dell NetWorker Product page.
