Symptoms

NMDA Backups are failing when dumping the database after installing Sybase ASE server 16.0.04.05. 
NMDA Backup fails: 24146:nsrdasv: Error from server XXX: Msg 3640, Level 16, State 1
        'nsrsyb::saptools..5.1./nsr/apps/tmp/sybtmp_222111.txt' is not a valid file path.

Cause

This is an issue in Sybase ASE 16.0.04.05.

Resolution

Sybase ASE development team identified an issue in the product. They expect to address the issue in an upcoming version.
