Cause

This issue occurs when the file /usr/lib64/libltdl.so.7 is corrupted or missing.

Resolution

Follow the below steps on the NetWorker server:

  1. Connect to the NetWorker server over SSH and switch to root:

    sudo su -
  2. Use the yum command to get the latest package name of libtool-ltdl.

    yum provides \*/libltdl.so.7

    Example:
    yum command example screen

  3. Install or Reinstall the libtool-ltdl package outputted by the above command:

    yum reinstall <libtool-ltdl-2.>

Here replace the <libtool-ltdl-2.> with the libtool library version listed in the first command. (For example, Run it as: yum reinstall libtool-ltdl-2.4.6-25.el8.x86_64)
This re-installs corrupted or missing libraries.

  4. Confirm that the issue is resolved by running:

    nsrlic -C
