Symptoms
After booting to VMware 7.0 or 8.0 operating system, PowerEdge 16G systems with Intel CPUs may display errors such as those shown below:
Skipping interrupt routing entry with bad device number: 176. This is a BIOS bug.

Cause
Intel reference code issue affecting all BIOS, including Dell
Resolution
This is a cosmetic issue and can be safely ignored as it has no functional impact.
FIX:
16G Intel platform BIOS released in June 2024 resolves this condition.
