Symptoms
Virtual Machines (VMs) may fail to power on when implementing NVIDIA Multi-Instance GPU (MIG) configurations.
Cause
Changes to MIG configurations may require the hypervisor host to be rebooted in order for the changes to take effect. Attempting to power on VMs prior to rebooting the hypervisor host may prevent VMs from powering up.
Resolution
This is working as designed. Reboot the hypervisor host prior to powering up VMs.
