Symptoms

  • 当客户执行从 VMFS 到 vVol 数据存储区的 Storage vMotion 并同时设置快照保护策略 （storage policy） 时，Storage vMotion 成功，但存储策略分配可能会失败。
  • 当有大量虚拟机从 VMFS 迁移到 vVol 时，更有可能发生此问题。
策略分配失败，并显示以下错误消息：
指定的参数不正确： spec.deviceChange.device 存储策略更改失败：提供的参数之一无效。

Cause

VMware 正在调查此问题，因为问题 DCPN 00127169。

Resolution

解决办法：
  • 在 Storage vMotion 完成后，重试设置虚拟机快照策略。
  • 如果策略更新失败，请联系戴尔技术支持以确认此问题已发生。请参阅服务请求中的此知识库文章，以加快处理速度。
