Configure email notifications

Email addresses can be configured to which notifications, alerts, and reports are sent.

About this task

You can configure a single email address for all notification instances, or you can use different email addresses for different notifications on different storage systems.

To set up email notifications:

Steps

1. Select .
2. Click Alerts > Notifications.
3. In the Email section, click Configure.
4. In the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) section specify the following details:
   • IP Address/Host
   • Server Port
5. In the User Information section, specify the Sender E-mail Address .
6. In the Recipients section, click Create and specify the address that you want to add.
7. To test the email address, click TEST.
8. Tick one or more of the checkboxes (System Notifications, Performance Notifications, Reports, or Job Notifications).
9. Click OK.

Note: The sender needs to be configured on the left hand side, then the recipients can be added on the right hand side.
