Dell-datorer som släpptes 2024 och senare kan innehålla maskinvara som operativsystemet Windows 10 inte stöder. Maskinvaruleverantörer kan inte längre garantera att de kan skapa drivrutiner som är kompatibla med Windows 10.
Om det görs ett försök att installera ett operativsystem som inte stöds kan problem förväntas med drivrutinssupport för all hårdvara (ljud, video, nätverksadapter eller liknande). Detta beror på brist på drivrutinsstöd för den hårdvaran.
Cause
Dell har inte licens att sälja datorer med operativsystemet Windows 10 år 2024. På grund av den här begränsningen tillhandahåller Dells maskinvaruleverantörer endast drivrutiner för operativsystemen som är tillgängliga med de sålda datorerna.

Windows 10-drivrutiner
Slutanvändare som försöker installera Windows 10 eller andra operativsystem utanför operativsystemet Dell Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) måste skaffa egna drivrutiner. Dell kan inte tillhandahålla drivrutiner för operativsystem som inte stöds.
