Symptoms

Discovery Job Error: 500 : "{"code":500,"reason":"Failed to connect to <PPDM FQDN>: HTTP transport error: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: 
PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: Unable to find valid certification path to requested target","remediation":null,"timestamp":1723825208953,"path":"/api/v2/vmwareservice/vcenters/validate-connection","extendedInfo":null}".

Cause

証明書の有効期限が切れています

Resolution

  1. SSHを使用してPowerProtect Data Manager管理IPに接続します。
    1. 貫く /var/log/brs/vmdm
    2. ログを確認します。 vmdm-discovery.log <unable to find valid certification path to requested target>
  2. Webブラウザーを使用してPowerProtect Data Manager管理IPに接続します。
    1. Administration >Certificatesに移動し、右側のパネルでCertificates Expiredがあるかどうかを確認します。
    2. 期限切れの証明書を選択し、[証明書の再生成]をクリックします
  3. Infrastructure >Asset Sourcesに移動し、vCenter Nameを選択して、Discoveryをクリックします
  4. JobsSystem >Jobsに移動し、手動検出のプロセスを確認します
