Symptoms

Discovery Job Error: 500 : "{"code":500,"reason":"Failed to connect to <PPDM FQDN>: HTTP transport error: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: 
PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: Unable to find valid certification path to requested target","remediation":null,"timestamp":1723825208953,"path":"/api/v2/vmwareservice/vcenters/validate-connection","extendedInfo":null}".

Cause

证书已过期

Resolution

  1. 使用 SSH 连接到 PowerProtect Data Manager 管理 IP。
    1. 䆚 /var/log/brs/vmdm
    2. 检查日志： vmdm-discovery.log <unable to find valid certification path to requested target>
  2. 使用网页浏览器连接到 PowerProtect Data Manager 管理 IP。
    1. 浏览AdministrationCertificates>，在右侧面板上检查是否有Certificates Expired。
    2. 选择 已过期的证书，然后单击 重新生成证书
  3. 转至 InfrastructureAsset >Sources，选择 vCenter Name，然后单击 Discovery
  4. 转至JobsSystem >Jobs，检查手动发现过程
