symdev -sid 111 list Lists all nonprivate Symmetrix devices that are configured in one or more Symmetrix arrays connected to this host. List
symdev -sid 111 list -all Lists all private devices (Vault devices, SAVE devices, DRV devices, SFS devices, and COVD devices) along with other Symmetrix devices
symdev -sid 111 list -devs AAA:AAC,BBB,CCC List the devices from range AAA to AAC, BBB, and CCC along with the information like ConfigType, Status, Size, and so on
symdev -sid 111 list -aclx List the Accesslogix devices in VMAX3/PowerMax Array
symdev -sid 111 list -devs AAA:AAC,BBB,CCC -wwn List the full WWPN of the respective devices
symdev -sid 111 list -emulation FBA List all devices created with FBA emulation.
symdev -sid 111 list -firstport List the devices that are mapped to at least one FA port.
symdev -sid 111 list -identifier device_name List the devices along with its Name
symdev -sid 111 list -N 10 List the first 10 devices in the array 111.
symdev -sid 111 list -nobcv List all the standard, non-bcv devices.
symdev -sid 111 list -noport List the devices which are not mapped to any ports.
symdev -sid 111 list -notrdf List all the non-srdf devices.
symdev -sid 111 list -r1 List all the RDF1 devices.
symdev -sid 111 list -r2 List all the RDF2 devices.
symdev -sid 111 list -r21 List all the RDF21 devices.
symdev -sid 111 list -range AAA:AAC List the devices AAA to AAC along with the information like ConfigType, Status, Size, and so on
symdev -sid 111 list -range ABC:ABE -multiport List the devices from ABC:ABE with the mapped FA information if they are assigned to more than one FA port.
symdev -sid 111 list -range ABC:ABE -v Show the detailed information of devices ABC to ABE.
symdev -sid 111 list -rdfg 12 List all the SRDF device belongs to RDF Group 12
symdev -sid 111 list -sg MySg List all the devices in Storage Group "MySg" along with its type, state, and size.
symdev -sid 111 list -tdev List all thin devices in array 111
symdev -sid 111 list -tdev -notinsg List all the TDEVs which are not in any Storage Groups.
symdev -sid 111 list -tdev -insg List all the TDEVS which are in one or more Storage Groups.
symdev -sid 111 list -tdev -noport List all thin devices in array 111 which are not mapped
symdev -sid 111 list -lock -all Lists devices that have a device external lock, or identifies a lock to release
symdev -sid 111 list -identity_set Lists devices whose external identity has been changed as part of a federated live migration operation.
symdev -sid 111 list -pedev List PE (Protocol Endpoint) devices
     
symdev -sid 111 create -gk -N 6 Creates six Symmetrix gatekeeper (GK) devices Other actions
symdev -sid 111 create -tdev -emulation fba -cap 10 -captype gb -N 5 -v Create five 10GB thin devices of FBA emulation.
symdev -sid 111 -nop -v allocate -devs 00032 To start allocation of devices

symdev -sid 111 -devs AAAA modify -tdev -cap 10 -captype gb -v Modify the size of the thin device AAA to 10 GB.
symdev -sid 111 -devs AAA:BBB reclaim Reclaim frees ups tracks that are unwritten or zero-based from devices AAA:BBB.
symdev -sid 111 -devs AAAAA:AAAAF free -all Free all the allocated tracks for the devices AAAAA to AAAAF. This command is used before deleting the TDEVS in VMAX3/PowerMax. However from v9.1.x and above you can directly delete the device which performs free all in the background and delete the device.
symdev -sid 111 -devs AAAAA:BBBBB delete Delete thin devices AAAAA:BBBBB in array 111.
symdev -sid 111 delete AAAAA Delete the thin device AAAAA from array 111.
symdev -sid 111 not_ready -devs AAA:BBB Set devices AAA to BBB to "Not Ready" status.
symdev -sid 111 not_ready ABC Set the device ABC status as "Not Ready."
symdev -sid 111 ready -devs AAA:BBB Set ready status of all devices from AAA to BBB.
symdev -sid 111 ready ABC Set the status of the device ABC to "Ready."
symdev -sid 111 show ABC Show the detailed information about device ABC.
symdev -sid 111 write_disable -devs AAA:BBB,BBD -SA all Write disable the devices AAA:BBB and BBD on all directors.
symdev -sid 111 write_disable ABC -SA all Write disable the device ABC from through all directors.
symdev -sid 111 -devs AAA:BBB reset -identity Reset device external identity. This is useful when a device has spoofing.
symdev -sid 111 create -pedev -N 2 -v Create two Protocol Endpoint (PE) devices for vVols
