Cause

There is a conflict with an existing Initiator Group on the target array therefore NDM will not offer this as a valid target array.

Resolution

Please take extreme caution when changing or deleting existing masking views and/or initiator groups.

  • Check the masking view where this initiator group resides.
  • See if there are any assigned volumes and take corrective action to either delete the masking view or Initiator Group
  • Following the correction of the masking view or initiator group the create dialog box will display the intended target array.

Additional Information

NOTE: It does not matter if the source or target array are showing "LOCALLY" with a 'symcfg list' or in the Unisphere for PowerMax dashboard.
