PowerFlex How to set a foreign disk as BOSS-S2 native

Import and set a foreign virtual disk as BOSS-S2 native.

About this task

The Import operation sets a foreign virtual disk as native to the configuration.

Steps

Enter the BOSS-S2 Configuration utility. 

  1. Turn on the system.
  2. While the system is booting, press <F2> to enter System Setup.
  3. Click Device Settings.
    Device Settings lists all the RAID controllers in the system.
  4. Click Physical/Virtual disk information.
  5. Click Virtual disk information.
  6. Select the virtual disk.
  7. Select Yes for the option Would you like to import this virtual disk?
  8. Click OK, and then click Import.
  9. Click Back until you return to the screen.
  10. Click Finish, and then click Yes to save the settings.

 

NOTE: This option is only available when the controller detects a foreign disk.
