Symptoms

When running a FileSystem backup, it fails with the following error:

Cause

This is due to the fsab.rec file located in the DataDomain being empty.

 

Resolution

From the Data Domain, the file will be located in this path:

/Storage_unit/PLCTLP-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX/hostname.domain.com/

Here, the fsab.rec will show as 0kb. Rename it, and restart the backup.
