Computers kunnen het BIOS mogelijk niet bijwerken of de BIOS-update kan vastlopen in SupportAssist. Het probleem doet zich voor na het installeren van de januari-update van Microsoft.

Onderstaande symptomen kunnen optreden tijdens het installeren van het nieuwste BIOS op uw computer:

  • Fout in SupportAssist: Er ging tijdens de installatie iets fout waardoor we konden deze niet voltooien
  • Error : Driver Version Fail ! melding wordt weergegeven
    Fout: Driverversie mislukt ! Er wordt een poging weergegeven om het BIOS bij te werken 
  • De BIOS-update blijft in een lus

Cause

Een beveiligingsverbetering van Microsoft blokkeert de BIOS-update.

Resolution

Alle getroffen BIOS-versies hebben een lagere status gekregen dan SupportAssist, Dell Update of Alienware Update.

Het BIOS bijwerken vanaf het besturingssysteem

  • Voer het BIOS-flashbestand uit en volg de instructies op het scherm

Update het BIOS met behulp van een USB-stick:

  1. Kopieer het uitvoerbare bestand naar externe opslag (USB-flashstation)
  2. Houd de USB aangesloten en start de computer opnieuw op
  3. Druk op F12 om naar de instellingen voor eenmalig opstarten te gaan (zie Het flashen van het BIOS vanuit het eenmalige opstartmenu F12)
