Symptoms

드물지만 AMD Milan CPU(7xx3)를 사용하는 하이퍼바이저 클러스터의 PowerEdge 서버는 클러스터 전체에서 무작위로 간헐적으로 MCE를 나타낼 수 있습니다.

영향을 받는 PowerEdge 시스템은 다음과 같습니다.

  • R7525
  • R6525
  • R7515
  • R6515

 

Cause

특정 CPU 명령이 업데이트되지 않습니다.

Resolution

이 문제를 해결하려면 두 단계가 필요합니다.

 

  1. BIOS 업데이트
    • BIOS 2.19.0으로 업그레이드, 2025년 7월 출시 예정

 

  1. 업데이트 후 BIOS에서 설정이 변경됩니다.
    • F2 BIOS를 시작합니다.
    • System BIOS SettingsProcessor > Settings에서 "AMD IC Config Disable IT Bypass" 설정을 활성화합니다.
    • 변경 사항을 저장하고 재부팅합니다.

 

이렇게 BIOS 설정이 변경된 시스템은 일반적인 가상화 환경에서 0.5%에서 1% 정도의 약간의 성능 저하를 보일 수 있습니다.
