Instructions
The Purpose of Lifecycle Delete Scanner (LDS) is to initiate expiration of objects and or versions created before the lifecycle policy has been created or updated. If a previously created bucket has been in use and a new lifecycle policy has been applied, this is an instance where LDS can be enabled. Contact ECS support before initiating.
Once LDS is applied to an ECS, monitor its state for a few days to ensure that performance remains as expected. The ECS can be monitored following the ECS Troubleshooting Guide sections 4.1.2 to 4.3 inclusive.
