VLT 지원 토폴로지는 VLT 도메인에서 루프가 없는 환경을 제공하지만, 일부 비 VLT 멤버 포트는 루프 시나리오로 끝날 수 있습니다. VLT의 스패닝 트리 프로토콜의 RSTP(Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol) 및 RPVST+(Rapid Per-VLAN Spanning Tree+) 모드가 지원되어 이 시나리오에 대한 솔루션을 제공합니다. 네트워크 토폴로지에 따라 VLT 도메인의 주 노드를 루트 브리지로 지정할 수 있습니다.

참고: 네트워크에서 의도하지 않은 루프를 방지하려면 VLT를 활성화하기 전에 스패닝 트리(RSTP 또는 RPVST+)를 활성화하는 것이 좋습니다.

RPVST+는 Dell SmartFabric OS10에서 기본적으로 활성화되어 있습니다. 기본 스패닝 트리 모드를 변경하지 않는 한 RPVST+를 구성할 필요가 없습니다.

VLT 노드의 MSTP(Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol)의 경우 네트워크 루프를 방지하도록 동일한 MST 영역에 두 VLT 피어 노드를 모두 구성합니다. VLAN-인스턴스 매핑, 영역 이름 및 개정 ID가 두 VLT 피어 노드에서 동일한지 확인합니다.
