Symptoms
In the VxRail deployment page, a deploy job is stuck with the below message:
Initial configuration vCenter
The VAMI page shows:
Unable to get deployment status
Cause
vCenter cannot reach the DNS server.
vCenter's firstboot log shows:
cat /var/log/firstboot/failed. Failed to configure network
Resolution
Ensure vCenter can ping the DNS server.
ICMP traffic is sometimes blocked between vCenter and DNS. vCenter does a precheck during deployment.
