PowerEdge: XE9780 - Downstream Port Containment Event on Hot Removal of NVMe drives

Symptoms

Dell Power Edge XE9780 may generate the following event in the Lifecycle Controller during hot removal of a NVMe drive.

Cause

When a drive is removed, the Presence Detect Status (PDS) of the respective downstream port takes longer than anticipated to clear, resulting in the triggering of Downstream Port Containment (DPC).

Resolution

This log event does not affect the functional behavior of the system and can be safely ignored.
