Dell Monitor Firmware Issue With macOS Tahoe

Symptoms
An error may be reported that says, "The selected firmware is not for this monitor" while updating firmware of a Dell monitor while using macOS Tahoe.
There are no issues if the firmware is updated using a Windows operating system or from a macOS version other than Tahoe.

Cause
macOS 26 has changed libusb and it is not backwards compatible.

Resolution
A macOS Tahoe 26.0.1 issue causes this behavior. Apple has acknowledged that they are aware of the issue. A potential fix will be available in an upcoming macOS beta build. The macOS build containing the fix will be a version that is newer than Tahoe.
Workaround:
The firmware may be updated if a computer is available with either Windows or any macOS version other than Tahoe 26.0.1.
