Warning: Always safely eject your USB Drive. Direct removal may damage the device.

ReadyBoost In Windows 8 & 10

 

Note: If you want to change back USB Drive to normal, then click the Do not use a device in the ReadyBoost tab.

  1. Insert the USB Drive > Now Right click the USB Drive and Open Properties.

  2. Click the ReadyBoost Tab.

  3. Then click Use this device then select the correct memory size to use.

  4. Click the Apply button.

Virtual Memory In Windows 8 & 10

 

  1. Insert the USB Drive > Now Right click My Computer (This Computer) and Open Properties.

  2. On the left side on the Properties Window, click Advanced system settings.

  3. In the Advance Tab under Performance, click Settings.

  4. The Performance Option window appears, click Advance Tab.

  5. Click the Change Button under Virtual Memory.

  6. Clear the box of Automatically Manage Paging file size of all drives. Then in the Custom Size field, add your USB Drive size. Now Add the same Value in both boxes and click the Apply button.

  7. Restart Your system, and now USB Drive works as Virtual RAM.
