Symptoms

Alienware keyboard users may notice that the battery level in AWCC is unable to reach 100 percent, or it only shows 100 percent when connected in wireless Radio Frequency (RF) mode.

Affected Platforms:

  • Alienware Pro Wireless Gaming Keyboard

Cause

The firmware does not return the battery information timely to AWCC when the device RF dongle is connected to the computer. The battery information is updated during subsequent queries from AWCC or when there is a change in the battery level which the device notifies AWCC of the change in its state.

Resolution

Updating to AWCC version 6.2 or later on the computer resolves the issue. To download and install the application, see article How to Download and Install Dell Drivers.
