Removing the power connector port

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the :
    1. base cover
    2. battery
  3. To remove the power connector port:
    1. Remove the M2x3 screw that secures the adhesive tape of the display cable to the power connector bracket [1], and peel off the adhesive tape.
    2. Disconnect the power connector cable from the connector on the system board [2].
    3. Remove the M2x3 screw to release the power connector bracket that secures the power connector port to your system [3].
    4. Remove the power connector bracket from the system [4].
    5. Pull the power connector port, and lift it from the system [5].
