Installing the system board

Steps

  1. Place the system board on the computer.
  2. Connect all the cables to the system board.
  3. Tighten the screws to secure the system board to the base panel.
  4. Connect the optical-drive cable and hard-drive cable to the system and thread the cables through the retention clips.
  5. Install:
    1. processor fan
    2. converter board
    3. power-supply unit
    4. heatsink
    5. hard drive
    6. optical drive
    7. memory
    8. system-board shield
    9. VESA mount bracket
    10. cable cover
    11. speaker cover
    12. back cover
    13. stand
  6. Follow the procedure in After Working Inside Your Computer.
