Removing the system fan

Steps

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. stand
    2. back cover
    3. cable cover
    4. speaker cover
    5. system board shield
    6. power supply unit
    7. VESA mount bracket
  3. To remove the system fan:
    1. Disconnect the system fan cable from the connector on the system board [1].
    2. Remove the screws that secure the system fan to the computer [2].
    3. Lift the system fan away from the computer [3].
