Removing the heat sink

Steps

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. stand
    2. back cover
    3. system board shield
  3. To remove the heat sink:
    1. Remove the screws that secure the heat sink to the chassis [1, 2].
    2. Lift the heat sink away from the computer [3].
