Removing the 3.5-inch hard-disk drive assembly
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
- Remove the side cover.

The following images indicate the location of the 3.5-inch hard-disk drive assembly and provide a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
- Disconnect the data and power cables from the 3.5-inch hard-disk drive module.
- Press the release latch and slide to remove the hard-disk drive from the chassis.
- Remove the fours (#6-32) screws that secure the hard-disk drive to the chassis.
