Removing the memory module

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the base cover.
  3. To remove the memory module:
    1. Peel the adhesive tape to a 90 degree angle above the memory module [1].
    2. Using your finger tips gently pry the retention clips away from the memory module until the memory module pops up [2].
    3. Slide and remove the memory module from the memory module slot on the system board [3].
