Setting up a separate IP address for SMTP communication on the Cyber Recovery virtual appliance
Optionally, if you want to separate mail traffic from management traffic, add a virtual Ethernet adapter to configure a separate IP address for SMTP communication.
Prerequisites
The Cyber Recovery virtual appliance is installed to a VMware ESXi host in the Cyber Recovery vault.

Steps
- Access the VMware vSphere Web Client.
- Power off the Cyber Recovery virtual appliance virtual machine (VM).
- Right-click the VM and select Edit Settings.
- Expand the New device drop-down list.
- Select Network and click Add.
- Select the network type from the list and click Finish.
- Power on the VM.
- Log in as admin and run the su command to switch to root.
- Use the YaST tool to configure the second virtual Ethernet adapter.
- Restart the VM so that the changes take effect.
