Selecting an IGMP Version

Dell EMC Networking OS enables IGMP version 2 by default, which supports version 1 and 2 hosts, but is not compatible with version 3 on the same subnet.

If hosts require IGMP version 3, you can switch to IGMP version 3.

To switch to version 3, use the following command.

Switch to a different IGMP version.
INTERFACE mode
ip igmp version

Example of the ip igmp version Command

DellEMC(conf-if-te-1/13)#ip igmp version 3
DellEMC(conf-if-te-1/13)#do show ip igmp interface
TenGigabitEthernet 1/13 is up, line protocol is down
  Inbound IGMP access group is not set
