Installing the hard drive

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation process.

NOTE:You may install either a 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch drive on this computer.

The following image(s) indicate the location of the hard drive and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure.

Installing the hard drive

Connect the data cable and power cable to the hard drive.
Place the hard drive onto the chassis and align the screw holes of the hard drive with the screw holes of the chassis.
Replace the four screws (6-32) that secure the hard drive to the chassis.
Place the computer in an upright position.
