Removing the base cover

Steps

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. To remove the base cover:
    1. Loosen the 8 (M2.5x6.3) captive screws that secure the base cover to the system [1].
    2. Pry the base cover from the edge [2] and lift the base cover away from the system.
      NOTE:You may need a plastic scribe to pry the base cover from the edges.
