Removing the hinges

  1. Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the base cover.
  3. Remove the battery.
  4. Remove the display assembly.
  5. Remove the hinge cap.
  1. Unroute the antennae and display cable away from the hinges.

  2. Remove the four (M2.5x5) screws [1] securing the hinges to the display assembly.
  3. Lift and remove the hinges from the display back cover assembly [2].
