Installing the solid state drive

  1. Place the SSD on its slot and slide it to its connector on the system board.

  2. Place the SSD plate pre-installed with thermal sticker on the underside over the SSD [1].
  3. Tighten the three captive screws to secure the SSD bracket to the palmrest [2].

    NOTE: This procedure illustrates a M.2 2280 SSD. M.2 2230 SSD requires a special bracket and plate to secure it to the palmrest assembly.
  1. Install the battery.
  2. Install the base cover.
  3. Follow the procedure after working inside your computer.
