Removing the Power Button
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
- Remove the SD Card.
- Remove the base cover.
- Disconnect the battery.
- Remove the IO board.
- Remove the solid state drive.

Steps
- Disconnect the system board cable from the connector on the power button daughterboard.
- Remove the two (M2x3) screws that secure the shield over the power button module and peel back the adhesive tape from over the power button daughterboard.
- Lift the Power Button module away from the computer.
