Removing 2.5-inch drive

NOTE:Depending on the configuration you order, you may see either of the heat sinks as shown in the image below.

Heat sink

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. cover
    2. hard drive and optical drive module
  3. To remove the hard drive:
    1. Remove the screws that secure the hard drive to the module [1].
    2. Slide and lift the hard drive away from the module [2].
