Installing a drive blank

Prerequisites

NOTE Ensure that the hard drive blanks are installed for the proper airflow if hard drives are not installed in the sled.
  1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
  2. Open the drive drawer.

Steps

  1. Align and insert the guides on the blank into the drive slot.
  2. Push the blank downwards until it is firmly seated in the slot.
