Removing the coin cell battery

  1. Follow the procedures in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. SD card
    2. base cover
    3. battery
    4. palmrest
  3. To remove coin cell battery:
    1. Disconnect the coin cell battery cable from the system [1].
    2. Pry and lift the coin cell battery from the system [2].

      CAUTION:Disconnecting coin cell battery may reset BIOS settings, time and date within System Settings, cause BitLocker or other security resets.
