Outbound port usage

SmartFabric OS10 provides the following network-based client applications that use TCP and UDP ports on external servers.

ftp client TCP/20/21 Used to get images from the remote server when used for image install.
ssh client TCP/22 Used to get images from the remote server when used for image install or to do an SSH session to the remote server.
sftp client TCP/22 Used to get images from the remote server when used for image installation.
telnet client TCP/23 Used when a Telnet session to a remote server is started from the OS10 switch.
tacacs client TCP/49 Used to authenticate the user credentials when a RADIUS server is configured to authenticate.
dns client UDP/53 Used for resolution of host names.
tftp client UDP/69 Used to get images from the remote server when used for image installation.
curl/http client http/80 Used to get images from the remote server when used for image installation or to do a curl command to the remote server.
snmp UDP/161 Send traps from the SNMP agent to the SNMP manager. You must enable traps for the OS10 switch to send it.
bgp TCP/179 Used to communicate to the BGP peers when BGP is configured on the OS10 switch.
https client TCP/TCP6/443 Used to get images from the remote server when used for image installation or do a HTTPs session to the remote server.
dhcpv6 relay UDP6/547 The DHCPv6 relay process listens on this port.
radius client UDP/1812,1813 Used for RADIUS authentication and authorization communication.
RADIUS Over TLS TCP/2083 Used to communicate with RADIUS server over TLS.
