VMware vSphere ESXi 8.x on Dell PowerEdge Systems Image Customization Information

Introduction

Each ESXi image file is a customized version of the base VMware image file. Dell customizes these images by:

• Modifying files to identify Dell and Dell support.
• Updating the ESXi image with the latest validated asynchronous drivers.
• Applying patches to address common issues for Dell PowerEdge servers.

It is recommended to use the latest Dell-customized ESXi image for your Dell system.
