Removing the cooling shroud
NOTE Cooling shroud is not a
mandatory removal but recommended for easier access to the cables.
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the cover
- Follow the steps to remove the heat sink fan
cover:
- Pry the plastic notches that secure the fan cover in an outward direction [1].
- Remove the fan cover from the heat sink assembly [2].
