Removing the Display Hinges

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove:
    1. battery
    2. SD card
    3. access panel
    4. memory module
    5. WLAN card
    6. hard drive
    7. optical drive
    8. keyboard
    9. palmrest
    10. system board
    11. display assembly
    12. display bezel
  3. Remove the screws that secure the display hinges to the display assembly. Lift the display hinges off the display panel.
