How to replace the Power Supply Unit on a PowerEdge R7625

This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the Power Supply Unit and a PowerEdge R7625. The procedure will also include removing the Power Supply Units and reinstalling them.

Removal

Power Supply Units

Select the power supply unit (PSU) you want to replace

Disconnect the power cable from the power source and from the PSU you intend to remove, and then remove the cable from the strap on the PSU handle.

Press the release latch and slide the PSU out of the system by using the PSU handle.

Install

Power Supply Units

Confirm the power supply unit (PSU) you want to replace

Slide the PSU into the system until the PSU is fully seated and the release latch snaps into place.

Connect the power cable to the PSU, and plug the cable into a power outlet.
