Removal
Base Cover
Identify the base cover highlighted in blue.
Loosen the captive screws that secure the cover to the system.
Slide the cover toward the back of the system and lift to remove.
Front Bezel
Identify the front bezel highlighted in blue.
Lift the tabs to release the front bezel from the system.
Slightly lift system to remove the front bezel from the system.
Hard drive assembly
Identify the hard drive assembly highlighted in blue.
Slide the release tab to unlock the hard drive and optical assembly.
Disconnect the data and power cables from the connectors.
Holding the release tab, disconnect the optical drive data and power cables.
Slide and lift the hard drive and optical drive assembly from the system.
3.5 Hard Drive
Position the hard drive module as shown.
Identify the 3.5 hard drive highlighted in blue.
Push blue release tab inwards & lift hard drive assembly from module.
Flex the sides of the hard drive bracket outwards to release hard drive.
Install
3.5 Hard Drive
Position the hard drive module as shown.
Identify the 3.5 Hard Drive position highlighted in blue.
Insert the pins on the carrier into the slots on one side of the drive. Push hard drive into blue bracket.
Install the drive assembly into the module
Hard drive assembly
Identify the hard drive assembly location highlighted in blue.
Install the hard drive and optical drive assembly into the slot on the system.
Connect the data and power cables onto the optical drive.
Connect the data and power cable on the hard drive and optical assembly.
Slide the tab to lock the hard drive assembly.
Front Bezel
Identify the front bezel location highlighted in blue.
Slightly lift system to insert the tabs on the bezel into the slots on the system.
Base Cover
Identify the base cover location highlighted in blue.
Install the cover on the system. Slide forward until it clicks into place.
Tighten the captive screws to secure the cover.
