How to replace the Coin Cell Battery on a Optiplex SFFPlus 7020

This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the Coin Cell Battery and a Optiplex SFFPlus 7020. The procedure will also include removing the Side Cover and reinstalling them.

Removal

Side Cover

Identify the side cover highlighted in blue.

Slide the release latch until your hear a click.

Slide the side cover towards the back of the computer and lift it from the system.

Coin Cell Battery

Identify the coin cell battery highlighted in blue.

Push the coin cell battery release lever on the coin cell battery socket to release the coin cell battery out of the socket.

Remove the coin cell battery.

Install

Coin Cell Battery

Identify the coin cell battery location highlighted in blue

Insert the coin cell battery into the socket with the positive side (+) label facing up.

Snap the battery in the socket.

Side Cover

Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.

Slide the side cover towards the front of the computer until you hear the release latch click.
